Portal Audio and Video Calling Privacy
When you use Portal to make an audio or video call, Facebook does not listen to, view, or keep what you say or what your camera captures on the call. Some in-call features may capture portions of your call when you use them during calls.
- If you use “Hey Portal” during a call, depending on your settings, we capture your voice interaction to respond to your request and improve Assistant. Learn more about how we process voice interactions.
- When a room creator broadcasts a room using Facebook Live, it is shared to Facebook and people outside the room may see what’s happening in the room. We may collect and review audio and video from the room’s broadcast to make sure they follow our Community Standards.
- When you take a photo during a Messenger call, we save the photo from your call to your albums. Learn how to take a photo during a Messenger call.
