How does Oculus Move estimate the number of calories burned?

Calories burned are estimated through an algorithm that considers your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and your headset and controller movements. BMR depends on your age, weight, height and sex. You can choose to provide your age, weight, height and sex or rely on averages instead.

We use the birth date from your Facebook profile to calculate your age, unless you choose to skip using your age as part of the Oculus Move calorie estimate.
