Meta Quest 2 Mystery Referral Program Terms

Earn a mystery Meta Quest Store Credit when a qualifying Meta Quest 2 purchase and activation is made using your unique referral link. Here’s how it works: Invite friends with your unique referral link to buy a Meta Quest 2. Friends may not already have a Meta Quest 2 device linked to their Oculus profile and may not have previously accepted a different referral link within the previous 90 days. After sharing your link, the friend must follow the link and “accept” the referral while logged into their Oculus profile. Once the friend “accepts” the referral, the friend must purchase and activate their new Meta Quest 2 device from the same Oculus profile used to accept the referral within the following ninety (90) days. If the friend completes all of the foregoing steps in accordance with these terms, you will receive an Meta Quest Store Credit in one of the following amounts: $30, $40, $60, or $100; and with distribution of : 71%, 15%, 13%, 1%, respectively, as set out in the rewards table below.

Your friend will get a $30 Meta Quest Store Credit in accordance with the terms of the Meta Quest 2 Referral Program set forth here once they activate their Meta Quest 2 device. Once credited to your account, your Meta Quest Store Credit can be redeemed. Meta Quest Store Credits will not be credited to you until the new Meta Quest 2 headset is activated by your friend in accordance with these terms. Individuals earning Meta Quest Store Credits for this Mystery Referral Program are not entitled to earn Meta Quest Store Credits from other Meta Quest 2 Referral Programs for the same referral. Mystery Referral Program offered by Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”), 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 9402. Mystery Referral Program starts at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on May 2, 2022 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on May 28, 2022 and may be extended at Meta's discretion.

You are the actual sender of all emails you may send in connection with this Program and you must comply with applicable laws. Referrals must be created and distributed in a personal manner that is appropriate and customary for communications with friends, colleagues and family members. By sending any communication as part of the Program, you represent that you have the appropriate permission and consent. Bulk email and communication distribution, distribution to strangers, or any other use of the services described herein in a manner outside the intent of the Program is expressly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination and further legal action. We have no obligation to monitor the Program or any communications; however, we may choose to do so and prohibit any use of the Program.

The referral link expires 90 days from the date sent. Friends accepting referrals must be new Meta Quest users; you may not send referral links to yourself. You must disclose when sending your referral link that you will receive a reward if the friend uses your referral link to purchase a Meta Quest 2 device. This is a Federal Trade Commission requirement.

This Mystery Referral Program is void where restricted and/or prohibited and may be modified, suspended and/or discontinued by us at any time, with or without notice. In such event, any existing Meta Quest Store Credit links shall remain active until the applicable expiration date of the link. Please note that we frequently implement changes, experiments, extensions and limitations for a variety of purposes at various times (the “Changes”). Every offer and the entire Mystery Referral Program are subject to such Changes and other terms and conditions which we may impose at any time. All of the foregoing shall be subject to our unlimited discretion. Your participation in the Mystery Referral Program is subject to all of the foregoing and any such Changes we may make. We may, in our sole discretion, restrict your participation in any program(s), offer(s), and/or transaction(s) should we determine that any actions by you are fraudulent, suspicious, and/or in violation of these and/or our other terms.

You are responsible for reporting and must pay any and all applicable taxes (including, without limitation, applicable foreign, federal, state, territorial and/or local taxes) with respect to any consideration, revenue, benefit and/or value paid to (or received by) you as a result of your participation in the Mystery Referral Program. By participating in the Mystery Referral Program, you hereby release and indemnify Meta Platforms, Inc. and our affiliates from any liability for any such taxes and you authorize us to deduct an amount from any such consideration payable as required by the federal, state, local and/or foreign tax law, or under other applicable law to ensure proper collection of all applicable taxes before delivery of any consideration, if any. If payment is required, and you do not pay such taxes prior to receiving the credit, your credit will be deemed forfeited. You further understand that if requested, you will provide us or our authorized representative with applicable tax ID, tax forms, documents, or certifications as may be required by applicable law for us to satisfy any tax information reporting and/or withholding tax obligations with respect to any payments hereunder.

The Mystery Referral Program may not be combined with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise expressly stated in the terms of an offer. Participants must be residents of the United States and at least eighteen (18) years old or the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside. Quantities of Meta Quest Store Credits are subject to availability and may be limited.

Meta Quest Store Credit Terms

Meta Quest Store Credits have no cash value, are non-transferrable, and can only be applied towards the purchase of qualifying items on the Meta Quest Store. Meta Quest Store credit can only be redeemed and utilized on the Meta Quest 2 device for items which can be purchased in the Meta Quest Store. The credit may only be used once and only by the intended recipient (even if the recipient receives multiple links from one or more friends). This offer is not valid for cash or cash equivalent and is not valid on prior purchases. The credit cannot be applied towards taxes or any expedited shipping and handling fees. Improper attempts to use or redeem constitute fraud and invalidate eligibility. The Meta Quest Store Credit (or any unused portion thereof) automatically expires in 12 months from the date of activation. From time to time, we may also offer you rewards that are not in the form of Meta Quest Store Credit, and that may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
